So, you have officially earned the title. You may hear it every day as I do, that sound that your baby first makes when they are learning to talk. It sounds something like Ma-MA—sometimes louder like; MAAA- MA!! or, MAAAAAAAM, with a pleading tone.That is your child calling you. The choice is ours weather we choose to step up to the plate, day after day, moment after moment or not. Now, I am not saying it is an easy title. Quite honestly we both know its the hardest one yet. CEO, no problem. Wifey, in the bag. Sex kitten in bed, comes natural. But MAMA, that is a title in its own universe. It may take a lifetime to figure out just how to be the best at it right? We are the new woman. The “modern ” woman, who can have it all. But, when my baby looks at me and calls me MAMMa with that quivering little voice, I have to admit it is the highest creative endeavor yet. Being a mom is easy, just pop them out. Being a mother first, is day in and day out, stepping up to the plate to earn that title from our future generation. SO, my chikkies, we both know we can do it all but let’s be mamas first…
